The Brazilian company Embraer unveiled the new visual identity for the KC-390 Millennium, its multi-mission military aircraft, at an event held in Minas Gerais at the Gol Aerotech facilities, responsible for painting the model.
The cargo aircraft is used by 11 air forces worldwide, including eight European countries and seven NATO members, and performs missions such as troop and cargo transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations.
According to the manufacturer, the new look celebrates the success of the KC-390 program and highlights the qualities that solidify the aircraft as a global reference in the medium-sized tactical transport military aircraft segment. Additionally, the paint scheme will be used to boost demonstrations to potential customers, participation in fairs, and international marketing efforts, showcasing the aircraft’s combination of speed, agility, robustness, reliability, technology, and efficiency.
The KC-390 Millennium entered service in 2019 with the Brazilian Air Force and has since expanded its international presence, being integrated into the Portuguese Air Force in 2023 and the Hungarian Air Force in 2024.
The aircraft measures 35.2 meters in length, has a payload capacity of up to 26 tons, a maximum altitude of 36,000 feet, and a top speed of 870 km/h. It can operate on unpaved runways and can also be configured for aerial refueling, maintaining a mission success rate of over 99%.
